Orientation SmartHunt®

Orientation SmartHunt Events are ideally suited for Corporate and University Orientation. SmartHunts facilitate the intoduduction to new environments in a fun and interactive manner!

SmartHunt events motivate groups to interact and build relationships with one another
while they work together as a team to solve puzzles and complete challenges. Your SmartHunt event can include content that familiarizes teams with their surroundings, their organization and its culture, as well as their leadership and support resources.Through shared laughter, exploration, learning, fun, and strategy building, SmartHunt events enhance group collaboration, communication and bring individuals closer than ever before.

The Orientation SmartHunt® is an exciting new offering. We are committed to designing and implementing cutting edge technology to be used as an educational tool for learning and development. It is a great way for both new corporate hires and student groups to experience a destination in a way that results in new friends, newfound knowledge about the area, and lasting relationships. Photo missions, video challenges, and trivia questions guide teams on an orienteering scavenger hunt through the various sites, attractions, history, city/campus, and local gems of the area. Teams of participants will also attempt various challenge stations throughout the hunt to earn their team big bonus points.

The SmartHunt experience creates an environment for the development of deeper social connections between participants, as well as a deeper connection to the world as they explore their surroundings. The SmartHunts app-based scoring system provides an opportunity for friendly competition, which naturally motivates participants to maximize their experience.

OPENING
Before teams walk out the door of the starting location and begin their experience, the SmartHunt begins with an introduction by our Lead Facilitator during which teams will be presented with the event goals, rules, and strategies, followed by a demo on how to navigate the SmartHunts App. This is called the event ‘Kick-Off’.

After an energizing activity guided by our facilitator, teams are set loose to earn points by completing as many of the challenges as they can during the fun and engaging scavenger hunt. The challenges are located at the areas that the group will need to become familiar with and include information about the locations, history, and useful facts.

While teams are out and about exploring the area, learning, and making new friends, they will also be tasked with completing various Roadblock Challenges along the way. Our experienced facilitators lead teams through engaging teambuilding “roadblocks” where teams collaborate in interactive, hands-on challenges. Examples include:

• Stepping Stones
• Launch Pad
• Kaizen
• Giant Hampster Wheel

We offer over 60 different roadblock challenges from which you may choose, depending on group size and location. We can also customize unique challenges for your group.

TECHNOLOGY
Our SmartHunts App is loaded on our iPads (we provide a turn key solution) using AT&T 4G LTE services and Wi-Fi to record photos, document videos, and to conduct scoring. GPS tracking and a messaging system allow our facilitators to track and stay connected with teams throughout the hunt. Our proprietary app will never lose connectivity due to our unique file-submission system that incorporates cloud technology.

The SmartHunts app and software package is an interactive gaming platform that can be used to make learning fun! Designed to be totally customizable to meet your goals, this tool enhances the ability of educators, youth workers, college orientation coordinators and others to meet the needs of the populations they work with. Experiential learning opportunities abound in this fun, unique, and engaging experience.

CONCLUSION – WRAP UP
During the Wrap-Up, a collection of the best photos and videos captured by teams throughout the hunt are presented in a highlight slideshow on the big screen. Wining team members are recognized and will also receive gold medals. The SmartHunts facilitation team also delivers a powerful debrief during the Wrap-Up, ensuring lasting memories for years to come.

BONUS HIGHLIGHT VIDEO
After the SmartHunt®, we will send along a secure link to a private web dashborad that contains all the photos and videos shot by your group. The page also includes a professionally edited highlight video that will be provided within two weeks post event date and is branded for you.
